Donate for Cows: Why Your Support Matters

In a world where many animals suffer in silence, cows hold a deeply sacred place in our culture and our spirit. At Shri Raghav Govardhan Gaushala Samiti, we believe that serving cows is not just an act of charity — it is a sacred duty, a seva (selfless service), and a way to preserve dharma.

Who We Are

Shri Raghav Govardhan Gaushala Samiti was founded to protect and care for destitute, injured, and elderly cows. What began in 2012 with just 21 troubled mother cows has blossomed into a sanctuary for over 1,000 cows today.

Our gaushala (cow shelter) operates around the clock, ensuring that every cow gets the care, medical attention, and love she deserves.

Beyond cows, we also run humanitarian efforts — feeding sadhus (saints), pilgrims, and passersby at our ashram on the Kamadgiri Parikrama route.

We even feed birds and monkeys daily, because for us, every living being deserves compassion.

Why Donate to Cow Care?

Rescue & Recovery
Many of the cows at our gaushala come from dire situations — rescued from neglect, injury, or starvation. With your donation, we provide emergency medical care and long-term rehabilitation.

Daily Sustenance
Feeding a large herd is a huge responsibility. Your funds help us procure clean fodder, water, and other necessities to ensure no cow goes hungry.

Safe Shelter
Some of our cows are elderly or physically challenged. Their living spaces need to be safe, stable, and clean. Your donation supports the maintenance and expansion of these shelters.

Spiritual & Cultural Significance
In Sanatan Dharma, the cow is often revered as a symbol of purity and motherhood. By donating, you are participating in a tradition of Gau Daan (cow donation) — an act believed to bring spiritual merit and virtue.

Moreover, our vision is to spread awareness about the sanctity of cows and to campaign against cruelty towards Gauvansh (cattle).

Tax Benefits
Donations to Shri Raghav Govardhan Gaushala Samiti are eligible for 80G tax deductions, making it easier for donors to contribute meaningfully.
